SimplyTea

We all feel better for a PG moment. But did you know that the humble cuppa actually has proven benefits? Research shows that tea is one of the UK's biggest dietary sources of a group of antioxidants called flavonoids.

Your body needs antioxidants to deal with 'free radicals'. They may sound like a teenage rock group, but they're actually molecules in the body that can damage our tissues and organs. Flavonoids could work with other antioxidants to help 'mop up' excess free radicals and even limit their production in the first place.

Tea Light

Whether it's first thing in the morning or at the end of a long day at work, we all have our favourite PG Moments. And with only 0.5g fat and around 14 Calories in an unsweetened cup of refreshing PG Tips with a splash of semi-skimmed milk, isn't it refreshing to know that something so enjoyable is guilt-free too?

Healthy Tea-th

Unsweetened PG Tips tea is good news for teeth for both adults and children. It's non-acidic, unlike other drinks, and recent research suggests that tea could actually offer dental health benefits.

Low in Caffine

Lots of people think that tea contains about the same level of caffeine as coffee. In fact, a cup of PG Tips tea contains about half the caffeine of a similar amount of coffee. Experts define a moderate caffeine intake as 300mg a day - that's the amount contained in about six cups of refreshing PG Tips.

Liquid Refreshment

We've all heard health gurus' advice to drink 6-8 glasses of fluid a day, but you might be surprised to learn that your regular cup of PG Tips can make a valuable (and tasty) contribution to this total. Because PG Tips tea contains only a relatively small amount of caffeine, the large amount of water in your cuppa more than makes up for its slight diuretic effect.
